Hana Geissendorfer

Hana loves writing and telling stories, which is why she headed down the more creative route of Film after completing her BSC in Economics at Bristol University. Since then she has been making award winning short films and plans to move on to features very soon.

Hana wrote, directed and produced her first two short films. 'Play Time' and 'Marion' during her 2 year Masters Program at EICAR (The Internatioal Film School of Paris). Both films were very well received and screened at multiple international festivals, with ‘Playtime’ winning ‘Best Youth Audience Short’ at Berlin Interfilm Festival 2008. Hana's shorts were also purchased by WDR for German national television.  On top of this, Hana production managed 12 shorts, was assistant director on 6 and dabbled in script continuity during her MFA.

Since graduating, Hana has gained experience working as assistant director on a TV series and a range of films in Germany. She also completed her first short film outside of film school 'Hermann' in June 2010, which went on to win 'Best Live Action Short' at its premier at the Palm Springs International Shortfest.

Hana has now moved back to London where she is working on a number of projects, developing a feature script and looking for interesting projects to produce.
